Yummy japanese octopus balls at HK$37 (May 2009) from Takomaru at City Super, Harbour City, Hong Kong. This is way too many for me. I ate only 3 balls and lovey helped me finish the rest.

Was able to try Singapore's Takopachi in Bugis in 2005 but don't really remember how that tasted like, except that lovey and I both loved it and went back there to eat it again the next day.

Our lunch at ThreeSixty food store in Elements, Hong Kong. I had the salmon sashimi at HK$35.80 (May 2009) and lovey had this chili dog at HK$21.20 (May 2009). The best sashimi ever. I loved it and ate slow so I can savor the flavor. The only disadvantage is I can't enjoy eating salmon sashimi anywhere else anymore, I keep comparing it to this one. The chili dog doesn't look appetizing but lovey says it's yummy too.

Are they considered gashapon? Anyway, these are my ball souvenirs from Ocean Park Hong Kong. It's a panda inside a ball and a puffer fish inside a ball. They're HK$15 (June 2008) apiece. The last photo shows the giant gashapon machine which dispensed my puffer fish ball. You kinda get an idea of it's size by judging the size of the balls inside both machines.

There's a portion of Tung Choi St. in Mongkok, Hong Kong that is referred to as Goldfish St. by Hongkongers. It's a nice relaxing short walk for pet lovers. The pet shops here also sell puppies, rabbits, turtles, crabs, etc.

On our way to Goldfish Street we came across this eggette food stall in Mongkok, Hong Kong. Having read several blogs talking highly of this supposedly famous dessert, I just had to try one. Didn't like it. Lovey didn't wanna try it so I had to finish the whole thing all by myself. It's S$7 (May 2009) for one roll (looks like bubble wrap).

❀ Disneyland Resort Shuttle

The resort shuttle at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel brings guests to and fro the park for free. The third photo shows the video monitor inside the shuttle.

At the end of the day, we rode the shuttle to see Disney's Hollywood Hotel and I had the unlucky experience of sitting on a wet seat. Had to transfer to another seat at the back of the bus hoping it was just spilt water I sat on. But with kids everywhere I wonder :(

Our meal at Spaghetti House in JP Plaza, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The Chicken Wings in Black Pepper & Honey Sauce is HK$39 (June 2008). The spaghetti with ice lemon tea is HK$62 (June 2008).

The food is yummy but, I didn't really enjoy eating here. The air-conditioning is way too cold. Since I'm a slow eater, my spaghetti got cold while I was eating eat.

Will I eat here again next time? Maybe not. Although the food is good, I prefer to eat it warm.

This is one of the prominent life-size buddha at Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery in Sha Tin Hong Kong. Although it stands right next to a much bigger eye-catching buddha (see my Ten Thousand Buddhas (3) post), the bright blue lion(?) kinda stands out.

Super yummy Lemon Tea at Quenches Hot n Cold for only HK$12 (May 2009) at Food Republic in Silvercord, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.

I regret not having tasted this before. I was only able to try it on our last meal before leaving for the airport. It's freshly made tea, not the average powdered iced tea.

Will I order this drink again next year? Definitely. I plan to drink it everyday next year's vacation. Take-away please! Yum!

My lovey ordered this Jumbo Snoopy Hotdog (pic above) at Charlie Brown Cafe in Tsim Sha Tsui. It's HK$48 (May 2009) and was served with a free bowl of minestrone soup. You get free soup when you dine between 11:30am and 2:30pm on Mon-Fri. The sandwich was humongous. When the waiter set the plate on the table we both said "whoa!"

My order of Cheese Sausage Hotdog (pic above) at HK$39 (May 2009). It came with a free bowl of super yummy pumpkin soup. I couldn't finish my meal even though it was really yummy. The portions are just too big for me. That big bowl of soup was enough to get me full. Notice the size of the sandwiches to the size of the table.

We had separate but adjoining tables and in the picture above, you see the contrast of the hotdog sizes.

Will I go back to eat here again next year's vacation? Yes, I will. I loved the pumpkin soup.

Got this yellow Esprit at Citygate Outlets in Tung Chung, Hong Kong at HK$249. (May 2009) This yellow bag wasn't in the Esprit outlet in Hankow Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. There was a cute white bag at the Hankow Rd branch that I also wanted but wasn't in stock in the Esprit outlet in Citygate. So it's a good idea to go to both branches for variety.

Pagoda at the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery in Sha Tin Hong Kong. We didn't plan to climb the 400+ steps up the mountain to reach this temple. We just intended to take a couple of shots of the Golden Buddhas lined up the steps all the way up the mountain. We were so fascinated and kept taking shots and before we knew it we actually made the 400 step climb up.

It's beautiful up here. It's so worth the climb. But on our descent back my legs got too tired and started to tremble and I was scared I'd fall all the way down the stairs.

Souvenirs from Ladies Market in Mongkok. I intended to use them as kawaii keychains but when i opened the merchandise it looks like it won't be a good idea. Cheap price of HK$10 each (June 2008) = cheap merchandise, but they're still kawaii.

Bought these from Kaimonoou at Hk$32 (June 2008) each. Kaimonoou is in New Town Plaza at Sha Tin, Hong Kong. The toys in their mouth is attached to a string which you can pull and it will start to wiggle 'til it goes back into it's mouth. They come in separate boxes which you can view at my Mamegoma Box post.
